Single-family housing coming to Chastain Park

A 30-home project, Amble Green, is replacing older two-story multifamily housing on Haverhill Drive, just east of Chastain Park. Developed by Monte Hewett Homes, prices will start at $1.1 million, which will get you 3,355 square feet, four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. The priciest, dubbed “the Grove,” will come in at $1.43 million and will cover 3,800 square feet.

Workforce housing project planned for Chamblee.

Blue Ridge Atlantic Development of Raleigh, N.C., is proposing a four-story development on 1.6 acres at 2140 Chamblee-Tucker Road, just east of the Chamblee MARTA station and across the street from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.

Dubbed the Residence at Sky Harbor, the development plans to include approximately 69 units of family housing including a mix of one, two and three bedroom units and will be affordable to buyers with income at or above 58 percent of the area’s median household income.

Rock-Tenn’s headquarters slated for apartments

The former Rock-Tenn Co.’s Norcross headquarters is being turned into 90 lofts and 200 apartments, thanks to Alliance Residential Co. and capital partner The Carlyle Group. In addition, the Lennar Corp. will build 65 townhomes at the site.

PulteGroup names new COO

John Chadwick was promoted to executive vice president and COO at PulteGroup, replacing Harmon Smith who retired. Chadwick has been with the company for 28 years, most recently as Area President, West.

New President and CEO for Atlanta Housing Authority

The Atlanta Housing Authority named Gregory D. Johnson as president and CEO, pending agreement on terms of employment. Johnson, who grew up in public housing in Dayton, Ohio, is currently the CEO of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority.

Compass Atlanta gets new managing director

Martha Hayhurst will join Compass Atlanta as Managing Director and Broker of Record for the state of Georgia.

Hayhurst has had previous experience as an agent and broker, as well as the president of Harry Norman Realtors, and regional vice president of Allen Tate Realtors.
