Agent Snapshot: Trish Hauser, Realtor, New Construction Specialist, Coldwell Banker Alpharetta

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I was a runway model for 25 years and also worked as an in-house model for Neiman Marcus Atlanta for 20 of those years. Oh, how I miss the couture clothes!

Where did you grow up? Right here in Atlanta. Moved to Roswell when I was three years old and then lived in East Cobb to attend Walton High School. After that I settled in Alpharetta and that’s where you’ll find me now!

Growing up, what did you want to be? I really wanted to be a detective thanks to Charlie’s Angels!

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I’m a wannabe chef. You will always find me cooking up something fabulous…I love to make people happy by the dinners I make!

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would love to meet Queen Elizabeth. What an amazing life and legacy.

What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret? All of the amazing small ethnic restaurants we have. They are often at off-the-beaten-path locations but always offer unique and delicious menus.

What do you love most about the industry? I love the relationships I build with my clients. I have so many who have become my “forever friends.”

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? On top of my resale business, I specialize in new construction and custom homebuilding. There is nothing better than helping a client design and build their dream home!

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Navigating through the changes in our world due to COVID-19. We have had to adapt and change the way we do everything in order to keep ourselves and our clients safe.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Build relationships with everyone around you and then stay in touch in a positive way. Much of my business comes from referrals from friends and past clients.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? I’m currently watching Bodyguard (a British police thriller) and The Great. I’m trying to get through a stack of magazines I’m so behind on (mostly about cooking!). You will already find my car radio on a hip-hop station…I’m an Atlanta girl after all!

What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta? I love the Farfalle all’aragosta (lobster pasta) at my friend Marco Betti’s restaurant Antica Posta. It is amazing!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta? I have always loved The Swan House. It has such grand splendor and will always be a landmark in Atlanta.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? When I had to rescue a parakeet from one of my listings. It was a tough listing, and the homeowner abandoned the bird in the home. I fed it and cleaned its cage until she finally agreed to let me take it. I found it a good home!

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I am mom to a 21-year-old daughter, Peyton. Peyton has had Type 1 Diabetes since she was 6 years old. I’m an advocate for the JDRF and truly believe we will one day find a cure!

What is your favorite vacation spot and why? Carmel, California. It’s so beautiful there and the food is so fresh and delicious!

What is your favorite city after Atlanta? New York City. I could never live there, but oh the shopping, restaurants, and things to do…I just love it!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Find a mentor to guide and teach you.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Homesnap. It’s quick and easy to use.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media? All of my friends and family who are outside of Georgia. It’s a great way to keep up on their lives!
