Agent Snapshot: Cindy Beasley, Realtor, Coldwell Banker, The Barsky Group

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I was a general education teacher, a special education teacher, and an ELL teacher in Forsyth County at  Whitlow Elementary and Cumming Elementary.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Douglas. Douglas is located in Coffee County, Georgia.

Growing up, what did you want to be? Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher and I real estate agent. I have accomplished both!

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I enjoy being outside! Relaxing on my outside spaces and enjoying nature.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would like to meet Abraham Lincoln. His love for learning, his love of books, and his determination to be a man of integrity has always intrigued me.

What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret? Atlanta’s best kept secret is that although it’s a big city we still have Southern charm!

What do you love most about the industry? I love helping people and meeting new people. Real Estate gives me the opportunity to do both!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I am available and ready to serve my clients.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? I love my job, so I don’t consider any of it difficult.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Getting involved in the community you serve.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? My favorite series for the moment is Outlander.

What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta? I love Mexican food. My favorite place to eat Mexican is Pappasito’s Cantina off Windy Hill.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta? My favorite is the King and Prince Buildings off 400 near Glenridge Drive.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? I have not had an experience that I consider weird.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I love the water! I spend time fishing with my husband, paddle boarding, and swimming.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why? The beach is my favorite vacation spot. We usually go to Fernadina. I love the sound of the waves and looking out over the vastness of the ocean.

What is your favorite city after Atlanta? My son went to college at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. We spent a lot of time there and loved visiting the historic sites.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? My advice is to find a mentor!

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? My favorite real estate app is GoFMLS.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media? My family are my favorite people to follow on social media.
