With a career in accounting, Tonya Jones was climbing the corporate ladder with an international retailer when her first child was born. “My priorities and passions changed during that time, and I was able to make my family a priority as a stay-at-home mom for several years,” Jones explains. She went into real estate when her husband’s building business was hit with the housing crisis in 2007.
A Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS) Georgia Properties, Jones has been in the industry 16 years, serving the Southern Crescent area, where she was born and raised. Known for her high client-retention rate, she is very process driven while focusing on relationships. “I truly care for each client and don’t see this as a transactional business,” she says. “My clients become family.”
Named the No. 1 listing and selling agent for BHHS Georgia Properties annually since 2015 in both volume and income, Jones is also a Fayette County Board of Realtors Top Producer. She was listed in the top 10 agents nationwide for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services from 2019 to 2021.
A Southwest Christian Care board member, she also serves as the Southside Sunshine Kids Ambassador for the Sunshine Kids Organization. She and her husband are active at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, serving on the welcome team. “Charity is a passion of mine,” she says. “I believe I am blessed in order to be a blessing.”
When not working, Jones enjoys running, playing pickleball, traveling and spending time in their home on Lake Martin. “I am especially excited that my youngest of three was recently licensed,” she shares. “I am thrilled at the opportunity to have a front row seat at watching him grow in this industry that I love so much.”
