David Weekley Homes will soon start construction on the third phase of the Ellis single-family home community in Marietta.
The homebuilder has purchased the remaining lots in the Cobb County subdivision and will lead the development of a package of resort-style amenities for the entire community, including a pool, clubhouse, pickleball and tennis courts, playground and walking trails.
David Weekley Homes is offering homebuyers seven two-story floor plans in this latest phase of the community, which opened almost five years ago. The builder will host a drive-in event at Ellis on April 9 to showcase floor plans, amenities and its design process, according to a press release. Select home sites will open for sale on April 30.
Ellis feeds into Cheatham Hill Elementary School, Lovinggood Middle School and Hillgrove High School of the Cobb County School District and is adjacent to the 2,965-acre Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.
“We … carefully design our elevations to flow seamlessly with the original vision for any existing communities where we build,” said Adam Cornett, Atlanta division president for David Weekley Homes. “And it’s a really wonderful vision at Ellis, one founded in the timelessness of Southern graciousness. The builders before us have created a beautiful backdrop within the community and we want our homes to stand out, not stick out.”
