Atlanta-area home sales rebounded in February after a precipitous drop in January, rising 12.6% month over month to 4,868 units, Georgia MLS reported, citing its monthly Housing Market Snapshot.
New listings, meanwhile, rose 6.9% from January to 6,624. February sales volume by dollar amount rose 15.1% month over month to $2.06 billion worth of transactions, and sales were up on a yearly basis as well, rising 3.7% from $1.99 billion worth of transactions in 2021.
The median sale price was $365,500, up 3.5% month over month and 23.9% year over year, while active listings were down 4.7% month over month and 6.6% year over year, at 5,733.
Georgia MLS’ 12-county report includes Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale counties.
