Atlanta-area home sales surged 26.9% in March, coming on top of a healthy month-over-month gain in February, with 6,725 homes sold, Georgia MLS reported, citing its monthly Housing Market Snapshot.
New listings, meanwhile, ballooned 25.3% from February to 8,299. March sales volume by dollar amount rose 34.5% month over month to $3 billion and was up 5.5% on a yearly basis as well.
The median sale price was $376,500, up 3.2% month over month and 20.1% year over year, while active listings were down 7.5% month over month and 5.4% year over year, at 5,302.
Georgia MLS’ 12-county report includes Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale counties.
