Atlanta homeowners had the seventh-highest wealth gains from property appreciation over the last five years, according to a new report from MyEListing.
During that period, Atlanta home values have risen 109% and an average of $182,900. The five-year annualized home-growth rate in Atlanta is 14%, MyElListing added, noting that the median sales price of a home in Atlanta last year was $350,300.
Nationally, the median home sales price in 2022 was $368,000, while homes appreciated an average of 73% over five years, adding $155,400 to their prices. The five-year annualized growth rate was 10%.
Boise, Idaho, topped the list by five-year home-price appreciation, with a 158% gain, followed by Phoenix (118%); Salt Lake City (114%); Ocala, Florida (112%); and Spokane, Washington (111%).
