Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage - Brookhaven

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Being a tour guide in Hawaii. My job was to guide people up the Stairway to Heaven hike, over 3,900 steps. At the top, we set up camp and used a portable gas burner to cook a meal of French toast, scrambled eggs and more. It was crazy! Did I mention it’s now an illegal hike?

Where did you grow up?

Dekalb County, where I immigrated to when I arrived in the U.S. in 1999.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I always wanted to be a photographer. I think I made it — I just sell houses on the side.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Spend quality time with my girlfriend, go for a drive or watch a good movie.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Napoleon Hill, Robert Greene or Jim Rohn. Especially Jim Rohn, I love his books and teachings. His lessons are timeless.

What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?

I would say Buford Highway. I call it Bu-Hi. So many great eats, boba tea cafes, and the real estate investment potential is huge!

What do you love most about the industry?

Freedom of time … to work 80-plus hours a week, of course.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

I’ve built a team of agents. There’s only three of us, but we’re cool, youn, and super-driven to be the most reliable, responsive and up-to-date with the current real estate and macroeconomic news.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

The most difficult but also the most rewarding part is making sure my team gets the best tools and resources to grow and become the best versions of themselves. It’s a journey for all of us, but it’s super rewarding to see my team killing it out there.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Create. More. Conversations.

What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?

Tough question. I’m not a picky eater but am always down for sushi! O-Ku Atlanta is pretty high on the list.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?

The Pencil Building. If you haven’t been to the top floor with 360 views of Atlanta, what are you doing?

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I had to house a client after their lease ended while they were still house shopping. Interesting times.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

My age, I started my real estate career when I was 23, built a team when I turned 24, now I’m old at 27.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Hawaii. The rich culture, landscape views and cuisine feel like home. Their sushi and poke is really good.

What is your favorite city after Atlanta?

Doraville! It’s grown so much in the past decade and surprisingly has so much more room to grow.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Try everything, what works for someone else might not work for you.
