Piedmont Highlands Capital founder and President David Johnson joined Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp.’s Atlanta office as a managing director, capital markets.  

In his new role, Johnson will secure commercial debt and equity financing for a variety of property types, including multifamily, office and industrial, retail, senior housing and hospitality.  

Johnson brings a wealth of connections with national, regional and local funding sources, including agency lenders like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, commercial banks, credit unions, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and hard money lenders, Marcus & Millichap said. 

Before he started Piedmont Highlands Capital, Johnson served as a vice president at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital and BB&T. 

Johnson holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master of business administration degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
