Mariah Carey sold her Sandy Springs mansion to Modern Luxury Media CEO Michael Dickey for $4.3 million, taking a loss of more than $1.3 million after less than two years of ownership.
Carey purchased the 12,575-square-foot home, which sits on four gated acres at 855 Davis Drive NW, for $5.65 million through her company, The Mirage Real Estate Trust, in November 2021, according to Fulton County property records.
Carey lived in the house during the pandemic to be near her Atlanta-based band. She put the property on the market last September after deciding to spend more time in her home state of New York, according to a press release from Ansley Christie’s International Real Estate, which represented Carey.
The house was built in 1951 and offers nine bedrooms, nine full baths and four half baths. It also has a pool, pool house, tennis courts, home theater and workout room, as well as a recording booth installed by Carey.
“The home sold to a local family that knows how special this property is and is looking forward to enjoying all of its amenities for years to come,” said Shanna Bradley, Carey’s agent at Ansley Christie’s.
