Christina Tran is a well-known real estate professional; she entered the business after years in the hospitality sector. Outside of work, though, Tran’s passion is volunteering. Both her parents were dedicated philanthropists in Vietnam and taught her the importance of helping those in need. She began volunteering with Georgia non-profits at age 15 and, at 23, Tran went on a mission trip to Vietnam, which inspired her to do even more.
Each year, she travels to Vietnam to give back and has helped 155 families there with hot meals and monetary donations. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, she’s begun donating 2,400 hot meals monthly to hospitals in Vietnam as well and contributes $2,500 monthly to feed over 100 disabled children in Vietnam.
Tran helps feed the hungry in and around Atlanta, too, volunteering at various food drives in Gwinnett and Dekalb Counties and paying off student-lunch debts. She also donates school supplies and organizes coat drives and recently donated $12,000 to the Thien Vien Huyen Khong Buddhist Mindfulness Center in Georgia for a new meditation hall, plus another $12,000 to Jessie’s House for sheltering abused and neglected girls.
In February, Tran went on a charity trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where she distributed 288 care bags containing money, food, clean water, hot meals and hygiene items.
All of Tran’s charity work is funded by her own money; she does not fundraise or accept donations. Tran is simply humbled to carry on her parents’ legacy, spreading kindness wherever she goes.
