Co-CEO and managing principal of Blue River Development, Brad Cooper oversees the company’s land and lot origination, development and homebuilding projects. Cooper began his real estate career in 2001 after being introduced to the business by his mother. Starting in residential real estate, he quickly transitioned to land development and was handling land acquisitions for a homebuilder within 18 months. With more than 23 years of experience, he has applied a disciplined, consistent, due diligence approach to land acquisition, enabling him to thrive across various markets.

Known for putting relationships first, Cooper emphasizes building and maintaining quality partnerships with clients and team members. His leadership at Blue River Development has driven year-over-year growth, leading to the recent launch of Blue River Communities, a homebuilding company. He credits his extensive knowledge of the industry and focus on continued learning as key factors in creating opportunities and maintaining success.

Cooper is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, where he holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. His expertise in strategic planning and financial management, coupled with his ability to remain focused in fluctuating markets, has solidified his standing as a trusted leader in the real estate development sector. His vision is to expand Blue River Development into new markets.

Outside of his professional achievements, Cooper is actively involved in philanthropy. He supports various causes such as Breakthrough T1D, a diabetes research organization, and contributes to local school districts as well as the Bahamas food bank. Cooper has been married for 17 years and has two sons who are active in sports. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.
