Rony Ghelerter considers herself a concierge of sorts, guiding buyers to the home and lifestyle of their dreams while providing incomparable service. After nearly 25 years of selling properties, she still gets a thrill from helping buyers find that blank slate of home to make their own.
“It’s my responsibility to share the good, bad and ugly about a property, which sometimes means we’re going to be looking at a few more properties before we find ‘the one,’” explains Ghelerter. Determined to always try her best, she works hard to minimize stress, maximize results and stay positive despite any setbacks.
Ghelerter specializes in the luxury market, new construction and resale in Avalon, Alpharetta, Canton, Cumming, Milton and Roswell. She has lived in the Alpharetta-Milton area for the past 12 years, having relocated from northern Virginia. “I want clients to know that I’m dedicated and will tirelessly work to find them the house of their dreams,” she says. “I’m in it for as long as they are.”
Ranked among the top 8 of 550 agents companywide and No. 3 in her office, she considers selling out Avalon — a luxury, mixed-use community in Alpharetta — a career highlight. Ghelerter was director of a national executive search firm when 9/11 caused her to rethink her purpose in life. “I grew up in a family of four generations of residential and commercial contractors,” she says, noting she thought everyone’s dad wore work boots. “I had been in the building business my entire life and always loved it.”
Soon after contacting a premier custom contractor in 2001, she was hired, exceeded $11 million in sales her first year and never looked back. A wife and mother, she’s proud of sending her twin girls off to college without losing it, training a new puppy and sticking to a fitness routine.
