During the COVID years, real estate professional Elijah Tutt was approached by quite a few people with raw land who wanted to rezone or otherwise prepare their property for development. “I was blessed to be in the right place at the right time,” Tutt remembers. “Those clients allowed me to not only rezone their properties, but also to sell them.” Resurgence Consulting was born, and Resurgence Realty Group of Atlanta followed soon after.

Leading both firms is a challenge, so Tutt is grateful for the support of his team, which he describes as a true team of different yet like-minded professionals. Resurgence’s most recent project has been developing and building Retreat at Jones Mill Phase 2. “Seeing Retreat at Jones Mill Phase 2 actually take off the ground and being able to see the first home in the subdivision being built is thrilling and a true moment of splendor,” he says.

Born and raised in Atlanta proper, Tutt drew inspiration from his mother, an industry veteran who encouraged him to attend real estate training immediately upon graduation from high school. Though he maintains a diverse clientele and has experience with all types of properties, he has firmly established his niche in commercial real estate and developments.

The 2025 Keller Williams Realty Buckhead Entrepreneur of the Year, Tutt is deeply involved in local government and has also won the ICON Political Influencer award. He is both a former employee of the city of Atlanta and a former candidate for state Senate District 39. Tutt further serves his community through his nonprofit Elijah Tutt Family Foundation. An avid car collector, he stays active by running and swimming, supports his church and the arts, and especially enjoys a good symphony performance.
