Real estate runs in Larry Delbridge’s blood. After growing up watching his mother succeed in real estate, he began his own journey in the finance industry, working in automobile financing, credit and collections. “In 1994, I drew on my financial expertise and the lessons I learned from my mother and transitioned into the mortgage industry,” he shares. One year later, he founded his first mortgage company, which grew into one of the largest mortgage firms owned by a non-bank entity in the state of Georgia.
As vice president of mortgage lending with Guaranteed Rate Affinity, Delbridge has been in the industry for 30 years, helping self-employed borrowers qualify for financing. His philosophy is simple: borrowers should have the power to choose the interest rate that works best for them. “In most cases, I present my clients with three different rate options and walk them through the pros and cons of each one,” he explains. “This helps them make an informed decision based on their specific goals and financial situations.”
Delbridge credits his success to the exceptional team he has built, which includes his daughter, Karson Delbridge, who is a licensed loan originator and serves as his sales assistant. “She helps me stay connected with my clients and valued real estate partners,” he notes. “And she supports the agents we work with by helping them grow their business and market their listings.”
Communication is another important cornerstone of Delbridge’s service. “My accessibility is valuable when clients are working to get their dream home under contract,” he says. “It’s my dedication to clients, along with my problem-solving approach, that makes referrals the foundation of my business.”
