Coming from a technology background in engineering and software development, Marwan Karaa followed his brother’s advice to enter real estate to learn more about investment opportunities. “My previous career taught me how to be detail-oriented, which helps me when dealing with investors and breaking down details to help buyers make better decisions,” he explains. “However, real estate is a very people-intensive industry, so technology can only take things so far before the human factor comes into play.”
A Realtor with RE/MAX Metro Atlanta, Karaa has been in the industry for 21 years and specializes in investment properties. A resident of Atlanta since childhood, he grew up in the Emory area and witnessed the city’s tremendous growth. “There used to be a pony farm right beside my elementary school,” he remembers. “Now it’s all condos.”
Most of Karaa’s clients come from referrals, and they appreciate his promptness and open communication. “I am very honest and won’t sugarcoat any situation,” he says. “I explain everything and help guide my clients through challenging situations.”
Recognized for his rational, level-headed approach, Karaa is known for continuously going the extra mile for his clients. “I try to help reduce the stress of buying a home by being patient while encouraging my clients to visit many different homes so they know when the right one comes along,” he shares. “For sellers, I communicate progress regularly throughout the entire process.”
From 2015 to 2019 and in 2024, the Atlanta Realtors Association recognized Karaa among the top 10 agents for the number of units sold. In fact, he was the top Realtor in this category from 2016 to 2018.
When he isn’t working, Karaa plays competitive circuit kickball. He was a member of the Atlanta team, which won two national championships.
