Housing affordability has fallen nationwide in the last year; what of here in Atlanta?
Housing affordability in the Atlanta housing market fell a whopping 26.8 percent in 2013, according to newly released data by the National Association of Realtors; that was the largest decline among all major metro areas, surpassing even San Francisco.
From 2012 to 2013, the Atlanta area’s Housing Affordability Index declined from 344.0 to 251.8; again, that’s much more than most metro areas, and more than the 18 percent decline the U.S. index saw.
