Technology is ever-changing, particularly in the app market, where new products constantly provide new dimensions to our professional or recreational lives.
So with that in mind, we decided to spotlight nine relatively new apps for real estate agents that could bring about new facets to how you conduct your business.
Matterport 3D Showcase · A digital home showing platform, the Matterport 3D Showcase program is a detailed, intuitive approach to the virtual tour that allows potential buyers to not only view the home’s floor plans, but also on-the-ground, step-by-step images of the residence’s features. Visit this webpage for an example: http://bit.ly/1qKh1IT.
Slide Bureau 2.0 · An easy-to-use iPad app that allows agents to create fun, visually appealing slideshows, Slide Bureau 2.0 is also quite dextrous, as agents can now save their projects as routine slideshows, scrollable webpages, PDFs, JPGs and even video. There are 400 different templates to choose from, including quite a few that are unique to real estate.
Home Dashboard · A new real-time update program from Redfin, the Home Dashboard provides home sellers with a comprehensive online research that allows them to keep track of every step of the home selling process, including important pre-listing requirements, real-time traffic updates (complete with the number of views and favorites for the seller’s listing) and reminders about upcoming appointments.
RadPad · A free rental app that takes a Craigslist-meets-Instagram approach, RadPad aggregates apartment listings to a Google Maps interface that allows users to easily view the listings in a visual, simplified format. Additionally, agents can become “verified listers” on the site, which allows them to create a lister profile and house all their listings in one place.
AppraisalPort · A new appraisal management portal from FNC, Inc., AppraisalPort allows appraisers, appraisal firms and appraisal management companies to receive orders from lenders, manage orders and submit reports back to lenders. The program, according to FNC, functions on any device with an Internet connection.
TouchTour · A sales/leasing system, TouchTour is currently used by Miami-based agents to showcase all the nuances of high-end residential properties, including unit floor plans, finishes, availability, amenities, local points of interest (such as shopping and dining) and more, all displayed on large, 42’’ by 84’’ touch-sensitive panels. Again, the system is currently based in Miami, but stay tuned if it branches out into other markets.
Realvolve · A cloud-based CRM platform that has racked up some impressive endorsements in its relatively short history, Realvolve offers agents a simple apparatus that adapts to their specific work style, and one that incorporates nearly every Web application, from LinkedIn, to Facebook, to Twitter and Evernote. And it seems to be catching on – Realvolve just purchased Advantage Xi, a fellow CRM provider.
REBOGATEWAY · Ever wish that you could have an “in” on what homes will hit the market? Thanks to ReboGateway, you now can. A program that scans public records, ReboGateway focuses on life events that typically lead to a home’s sale – a la divorces, FSBOs, default notices and tax defaults – and notifies you of what transpires; that way, you’ll be adequately prepared to land the listing at the opportune time.
PIXEET 360 · A mobile app that, combined with a special magnetic lens that can be attached to your smartphone, allows you to shoot full 180º or 360º panorama virtual tours of your listings; also, agents can turn panoramas into fuller interactive tours with Pixeet’s online app, and add such features as music, hotspots and individual brands.
