What was your first job in the realty industry? I was a receptionist at a real estate company in Washington DC in 1986. Moved to Atlanta and started raising my family. In 1998, I decided to start selling property in Georgia and here I am.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Puerto Rico and went to college in 1981 and stayed in the United States after graduation with my husband.
Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be on Broadway — I love music and acting. I went to school in New York with this vision but ended up meeting my husband and father of my children and everything changed. Now, I enjoy attending shows. I also taught Drama to middle schoolers as a volunteer. I was able to be back on a stage.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I love the outdoors, playing tennis, and now my newest addiction is Pickleball — a fun, fast game similar to a small tennis or big ping pong court. It is played with paddles. I enjoy the guest programming at the Georgia Aquarium where I tour the exhibits and the importance of Ocean Conservation. It’s my therapy!

Besides that I love Broadway Musicals, Lin Manuel is a very smart person, who struggled through life, jobs, acceptance etc. He has demonstrated that believing on an idea that is far to reach can be obtained with determination, passion and dedication. He is a genius, mixing and combining words in his music composition. Although he has made so much money, he is humble and he has shared and helped and keeps helping the community in reaching ultimate goals. Inspiration at its best!
Where is your favorite place to hang out? Puerto Rico, especially now that the devastation of this horrible Hurricane back in Sept 2017. I have seen many hurricanes as a child but nothing like this. I remember my grandfather talking about a devastating hurricane back in 1910 but never imagine what it meant until now. Puerto Rico needs me — either to visit, help communities, cheer for families that are feeling down and helpless. So from far, I do as best as I can and encourage others to do so as well.
What do you love most about the industry? I love love, love the challenges. Especially when a Buyer is looking and looking and finally when the right home comes along and the faces of acceptance, joy, vision. It all clicks. That is a great feeling. As for when a seller is preparing their home for sale, I enjoy giving them ideas, when I am appreciated for the professional input, and when they follow and we sell the home at a price better and faster than they expected.
