Arizona-based HomeSmart acquired Atlanta’s PalmerHouse Properties real estate brokerage, marking HomeSmart’s largest purchase to date and a “pivotal step” in its expansion plan, according to a release.
The deal brings more than 2,000 PalmerHouse agents to HomeSmart’s team, which will grow to 22,000, and adds six markets to its portfolio, bringing it to 37 states.
PalmerHouse will keep its headquarters in Atlanta and its current office locations in Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, North Carolina and Alaska will retain the PalmerHouse name. HomeSmart offices will continue to operate as HomeSmart, but they will all be in the same family of companies.
