The Atlanta residential market maintained its hot streak in February, posting double-digit gains in sales volume and double-digit decreases in inventory.
The 12-county metro region saw home sales jump 21.7% to $1.97 billion during the month, as the median sales price rose 15.7% to $295,000, according to Georgia MLS.
At the same time, active listings plunged 56.9% year over year to 6,137, while new listings for the month were down 11.4%, at 6,938.
Overall, the Atlanta area saw 5,563 homes sold, up 4.9% from February 2020, according to the Housing Market Snapshot.
