What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Working as an insurance underwriter.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Nigeria, but my family migrated to the United States when I was 3 months old. Most of my childhood I grew up in Atlanta.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
Honestly I wanted to become a doctor, but that never happened. I couldn’t even stand the sight of blood. I realized quickly that was the wrong profession for me.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I like to watch a good movie with my husband. I also like to ride my bike with my three little girls.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Oprah Winfrey. I always loved her work ethics and the fact that she isn’t afraid of uplifting others. Her whole essence is about giving back and giving others opportunities.
What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?
I think we have a-lot of cool lounges. There is always somewhere nice you can go to grab good drinks.
What do you love most about the industry
I love doing real estate because it allows me to meet all kinds of people. The exposure to different cultures, ethnicities and ways of life is exciting.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I distinguish myself by my willingness to educate my clients, especially my first-time home buyers. I love for my clients to understand what’s going on so that they can make the best decisions for themselves.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
This business can be very emotional. So when a buyer or seller loses out on an opportunity or a deal doesn’t close, it’s hard for me to see them disappointed. I always want my clients to be satisfied.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
My best advice for generating leads is social media. When people see that your are consistent with your business, they will more than likely remember you. You don’t want to be a secret agent in this business.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I don’t watch much TV these days because I am so busy. But when I do have a moment, I catch up on The Blacklist. I love suspense and FBI shows.
What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?
My favorite meal is a steak Maui at J Alexanders. It is the best steak in town!
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?
I love the Bank of America Plaza in downtown Atlanta. I actually love it because that is where I applied for my first job when I graduated from high school.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
The weirdest thing that happened to me on the job is when I told an agent I accepted her contract and realized I called the wrong agent. Yikes!
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
People are surprised to learn that I used to own a clothing company with my two younger sisters. I have always had a passion for fashion and used to design African fashion with my sisters and business partners at the time.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I love Mexico! I just love how blue the water is, and the food is amazing. Also the culture is so vibrant and beautiful.
What is your favorite city after Atlanta?
My favorite city is Orlando. I love going to Orlando with my three little girls. My husband and I have been taking them there since they were babies.

You have to be willing to work hard and hustle.
