Housing inventory in the Atlanta area ticked higher in May, rising 2.9% from April to 6,145 active listings, according to Georgia MLS’s monthly survey of the 12-county metro region.
Despite the monthly increase, listings stayed near all-time lows, down 59.8% from 15,281 listings in May 2020.
Sales volume was strong, up 75.0% year-on-year to $3.04 billion. The number of units sold was also up, with a 36.2% year-over-year increase to 7,369 transactions.
The median sales price rose 4.9% from March and 25.9% from April 2020 to $340,000.
