An Atlanta developer is seeking to build a six-story condominium building in Peachtree Corners with 56 residential lofts and a restaurant available to residents only.

A rezoning application filed by DDCB Inc. on behalf of developer and former Fulton County Sheriff candidate Ben Cowart seeks to rezone the 6.78-acre property at 4779 Peachtree Corners Circle to MUD (mixed-use development) from M-1 (light industrial).

The property will encompass about 194,000 square feet of total floor area and include a basement-level parking deck. Two units in the building will not be sold but instead made available to guests of residents for short-term rental. The exterior building materials will be mostly brick.

The rezoning application is scheduled to go before the Peachtree Corners Planning Commission tonight, with hearings before the City Council set for Oct. 26 and Nov. 16.
