Atlanta-based land company Blue River Development recently acquired about 1,000 Henry County lots in several new master-planned communities.
The holdings are spread among five McDonough neighborhoods that have since been sold to local builders. The residences to be developed include a mix of single-family detached, townhomes and apartments. Financial details of the transactions were not disclosed.
Specifically, Blue River acquired:
- Symphony Park: 108 acres with 499 residential lots.
- Trinity Park: 113 lots.
- Barrett Farms: 62 acres with 135 lots.
- Airline Road: 96 acres with 113 lots.
- North Ola Crossing: Almost 81 acres with 95 lots.
“The team at Blue River Development is devoted to delivering much-needed housing options to the areas we serve,” managing principal Brad Cooper said in a press release. “After 5 years of rezoning, permits and listening to community feedback, we are most excited to see Symphony Park come together.”
Symphony Park will serve as a multi-generational neighborhood with apartments, cottages, townhomes and single-family homes. The for-sale residences and apartments will each have their own resident-exclusive amenities, Blue River said, adding that the community is located in a walkable location with convenient access to local schools, shopping centers and more.
