Atlanta-based developer Trillist offered up revised plans for a high-rise apartment tower on Peachtree Street and Crescent Avenue at a recent meeting of the Midtown Development Review Committee.
The new design calls for a 42-story, mixed-use tower with frontage on Peachtree and Crescent at 13th Street. It includes 301 residential units, 121,000 square feet of office space and about 7,300 square feet of double-height retail spaces, including a combined retail and lobby space on Peachtree.
Previously, Trillist proposed a 53-story Mandarin Oriental hotel and a 46-story apartment tower with 317 units for the 0.91-acre parcel at 1138 Peachtree St., according to Urbanize.
Under this latest proposal, a 20-foot pedestrian way — a paseo — would connect Peachtree Street to Crescent Avenue with a bridge to the building’s bike and mail room. A screened, eight-story parking podium with 571 spaces would also be accessible from Peachtree Street and Crescent Avenue at different levels.
In a post-hearing report, the Development Review Committee said it recommended Trillist modify the design of the parking podium facing Crescent Avenue to be more compatible with the building’s architecture, alter the design of the paseo to maximize its usable width and work with the owner of the adjacent 1100 Peachtree property to provide lighted artistic wall treatments along the south side of the paseo.
