Parkland Communities broke ground on a pair of communities in Stonecrest: the 260-townhome Crestwind Township and 129 single-family home Crestview Pointe.
Slated for a summer 2024 grand opening, the master-planned development is located at 7259 Hayden Quarry Road, at Turner Hill Road. Shared amenities will include green space, nature trails, a clubhouse, junior Olympic swimming pool, playfield and playground.
“This long-anticipated development is located in a massive growth corridor fueled by the new Rivian plant and other large-scale economic development projects along I-20,” Parkland Communities President Jim Jacobi said. “The development offers something for everyone with townhomes, single family and resort-style amenities in a thriving area where people want to live.”
The Dekalb County communities are located near Stonecrest Mall, which is undergoing an extensive redevelopment, and New Black Wall Street, an indoor shopping district in a former Target Store featuring more than 100 businesses owned by minorities and women. A new MARTA Park and Ride will be built across from Crestview Pointe on Hayden Quarry Road.
