Alpharetta-based Parkland Communities Inc. has received the necessary land-development permits to start work on Crestwind Township, a 389-home master-planned community in Stonecrest. 

Located on Hayden Quarry Road at Turner Hill Road in DeKalb County, the community will include 260 build-to-rent townhomes and 129 single-family for sale homes with two-car garages. 

“This 389-home development offers the perfect reverse commute for any of the 7,500 employees at the new $5 billion Rivian plant, just 25 minutes away,” Parkland Communities President Jim Jacobi said in a press release. “We anticipate a huge response to this community as it offers both homebuyers and renters a variety of options and amenities in a thriving area where they want to live.” 

Community amenities will include abundant green space, nature trails, sidewalk-lined streets, a clubhouse, swimming pool, playfield and tot lot. 

Alliance Engineering and Planning is planning the development, which will be located near Stonecrest Mall and New Black Wall Street and offer easy access to I-20.
