Georgia MLS joined with multiple-listing services in North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina to form Southeast MLS Alliance, which will provide members access to more than 85,000 listings across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina.
The four founding members — Georgia MLS, Canopy MLS in Charlotte, Charleston Regional MLS and Realtracs in Nashville — together serve more than 100,000 real estate agents in more than 11,000 offices.
The new MLS, which launched Oct. 1, aims to provide agents across service areas with more data and potential for referrals throughout the Southeast. All listings — active, off market and sold — will be integrated into each system to provide a “seamless experience” in the available market data, Realtracs CEO Stuart White said.
“It was time for like-minded MLSs in large markets across the Southeast to come together and form a meaningful referral network for our combined members,” Georgia MLS Richard Boone said in a press release. “It was important the agreement kept the members as top priority and that the participating MLSs made geographic sense. Collectively, our members will now have access to listing data in four of the most desirable cities in the Southeast.”
