My business was down in 2023 by 20% in both units and volume but that compares to numbers in 2022 and 2021 that were over-inflated due to excess demand. It will still end up being my fourth best year in my 9-year real estate career, but my numbers reflect a few new construction homes that sold via contracts written in 2022. I am currently projecting a 50% decrease in my 2024 business plan since I do not have any new construction contracts yet for 2024. Other rationale is that it is an election year and that there is so much turmoil in the world right now. I am also forecasting a decline because this fourth quarter has seen a decrease in buyer leads that are interested in buying short term versus long term. If I can beat this forecast, I will be very pleased, but the 50% number is what I am planning for.
