Eric Harris Managing Partner

CoRErep

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was an office furniture sales rep. I worked with multiple types of companies and took pride in offering a product to support people’s livelihoods.
Where did you grow up?
Pittsburgh!
Growing up, what did you want to be?
TV personality
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Listen to Jay-Z, yardwork or hit the sand courts to play volleyball.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Herman Russell. He was one of the first Black real estate developers, and his insight would be incredible to have in my commercial real estate world.
What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?
JJ’s Rib Shack!
What do you love most about the industry?
The ability to assist companies to provide a safe, inviting and supportive environment for their employees no matter when or where they touch down to work.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I’m a listener first. In my opinion, there is no way that we can best serve a company’s needs without first understanding the good, bad and ugly about business.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Educating an emotional client.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Be consistent in whatever business development processes that you engage in.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I’m currently binging on Netflix, pretty much all programs, but the main family binge is Survivor!
What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?
There’s a spot in Marietta called The Local that serves a “local benedict” on the weekends only: chicken, eggs benedict, homemade biscuit and grits.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?
Three Alliance has alway been a favorite of mine. The flicker style window aesthetic is pretty cool!
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I was headed to a lunch appointment in Sandy Springs and was hit on Roswell Road. I’m a fan of airbags, and miss the car that I was hit in. I loved that car.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I was on a weekly TV show as a kid. It was a blast!
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Fort Walton Beach (Destin), Florida. The sand is amazing!
What is your favorite city after Atlanta?
Pittsburgh
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Always sharpen the saw!
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?
CoStar
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
My “follower” game is pretty weak. It’s gotta be my Steelers, specifically those Heyward brothers. I hope they continue to do well on and off the field.
