The first residents have moved in to a new build-to-rent, apartment-style townhome community in Kirkwood‘s revitalized Memorial Drive corridor.

The project, Eastwood, is located at 277 Clifton St. SE and will have 103 units when it is completed. It is slated for a 14-month total build time, with a phased delivery of buildings throughout the summer, according to the general contractor, Monte Hewett.

Outdoor community amenities will include a pool with loungers, hot tub, grill station, dining and lounge areas, movie theater, lawn games, dog park and EV charging stations. There will also be a mid-century modern clubhouse with a lounge and fireplace, co-working spaces, coffee bar, kitchen and pet spa.

Units will come in a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans with private-garage options. The open-concept residences will offer gourmet island kitchens with Carrara quartz countertops, ceramic subway-tile backsplashes, matte-black fixtures and hardware, two-toned cabinetry and full-size, stainless-steel Whirlpool appliances.

“We were selected early in the process, and this has allowed us to provide turnkey service with land plans, design services, budgeting and more,” Monte Hewett said. “Our team utilizes a scheduling program to stay on track of the details of vertical construction — a huge benefit to our investor clients.”
