David Landsman Sales/outside banking

The Federal Savings Bank

What was your most interesting job before going into lending?
Being a real estate agent
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Get a facial and massage.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Jesus, because I have always turned to my faith to guide me in everything I do.
Where is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?
Lake Lanier. There is always fun to be had.
What do you love most about the industry?
When someone has the idea of owning or building a home, and it actually happens, and they get the keys! Seeing the new homeowner smile is the best.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Having to deliver bad news. I want everyone who wants to buy a home to be able to do so, but that’s not always the case.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I just finished Peaky Blinders, but I’m not a big TV person. I only watch when I’m doing cardio.
What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?
Antico Pizza or steak and oysters at Prime 120
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?
The Westin Peachtree. I feel like it’s one of the first buildings people see when they arrive in Atlanta.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
A home inspector left a bathtub running, and the overflow of water soaked and weakened the flooring. The tub broke through the floor, shattered on the first floor and flooded the home.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m adopted.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Cancun. It’s so close to travel to, the beach is always nice, and the people are always so accommodating.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the lending industry?
Don’t worry about your paycheck, worry about your clients.
What are your social media handles?
@beastofrealestate
