Patty Peck’s tagline is: “You walk in with a Realtor. You walk out with a friend.” That says a lot about her proactive involvement with her clients. Judging from her online reviews after only six years in the business, she has already converted many happy clients into trusted lifelong friends. A native of Atlanta and a Realtor for Atlanta Communities, Patty attributes her success to having a very good grasp of different personalities. She knows how to roll up her sleeves and get the job done. And what’s more, she knows how to have fun while doing it. “It’s always a fun time at the annual client appreciation bowling and football tailgate parties when we all get together with our families. It makes me happy when I connect people – when my clients become friends!”
Patty spent years in office management, where she worked with a wide variety of people and mastered the art of negotiating with outside vendors. Later, she had the opportunity to work part-time in a real estate office, and that’s when everything clicked. Patty knew she was going to love the relationship angle and using her negotiating skills in a fresh new setting.
What makes Patty successful? She alleviates problems before her clients even know they are there. Another success strategy is her relentless responsiveness. “Time is of the essence in every real estate transaction. I make myself available to every single person or company involved.” It is Patty’s genuine love of people that puts her at the top of her game. Her most effective networking strategy involves simply staying in touch with her clients, whether that means going to lunch from time to time or connecting in a party setting.
Patty gets her inspiration from her family. She credits her parents, Jim and Janet, for her strong ethics and integrity. Her husband JJ is a faithful cheerleader both personally and professionally. Her son Chris and his wife Diana are not only inspiring, but are terrific models for her grandchildren, Penelope and Lincoln.
Patty was asked if she could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be, and why? Her answer was Robin Williams. “I could see his enormous heart through his eyes. I also love to laugh and he would surely make me laugh!”
Patty’s attitude is not only refreshing, it’s a way of life. During the holidays she opens her home to neighbors for a can-a-thon to benefit Must Ministries’ efforts to help feed the homeless in the Atlanta area. She knows that acting locally helps so many people and gives her and her friends a chance to give back.
