Clients like the energy and excitement Lawrence Sharp Jr. brings to the homebuying and selling process. Easygoing and fun to work with, he’s professional, gets to the point quickly and respects everyone’s time. Sharp excels at listening to clients’ needs, assessing the value of clients’ homes, negotiating effectively and, in the end, exceeding expectations.
“I’m extremely responsive to clients’ questions, replying immediately to early morning and late night emails and text messages,” says Sharp, broker-owner of Lawrence Sharp Realtors LLC. “When it comes to home issues, I have the ability to secure the professional help needed to address any issues at a reasonable price.”
Sharp has 41 years of experience in the industry. He assists luxury buyers and sellers in Brookhaven, Buckhead, Decatur, Dunwoody, Lithonia and Stone Mountain. With them in mind, he prefers to take back roads over the interstate any day, because it gives him the chance to spot opportunities they may have otherwise missed.
Sharp chose a career in real estate over attending law school because it combines his love for people with always being on the move. Plus, it allows him to tap into his natural sales abilities. It also has proven to be the right fit, something he cannot say about his first career as a police officer at Georgia State University.
“Being a police officer helped me realize that’s not what I wanted to do the rest of my life,” he says. “I made the move to real estate because I wanted more freedom in my schedule and the ability to drive my own success.”
Much of that success is due to his ability to connect with people. Thoughtful and kind, he remembers details about them, like birthdays, and stays in touch beyond closing day. “I don’t just sell houses; I build relationships,” he says. “I really like being in the relationship business.”
