Moriah Stewart, Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Guaranteed Rate Affinity NMLS # 2333905

While she was growing up, Moriah Stewart’s parents owned multiple investment properties, so she always viewed homes as a source of income. She started her finance career on the Wall Street trading floor while still in college, eventually working for multiple banks after earning a degree in finance. However, her purchase of multiple homes ultimately prompted her to join the lending industry three years ago.

“I knew I could help tons of people,” says Stewart, now a vice president of mortgage lending with Guaranteed Rate Affinity. “I firmly believe everyone can own a home. Therefore, I do not give out denials; I create game plans to get clients to their goal of homeownership.”

Stewart recently helped an older adult on a fixed income reduce her household debt with a refinance plan that, on the surface, made no sense. “She had a 2.875% interest rate, and my refinance increased her rate to 5.99% — an increase of $600 a month,” she reports. “It worked for her because she was able to pay off a vehicle, [which] she owed way too much on and no longer needed. That was a monthly savings of $1,000 for the car payment and an additional $375 for the insurance. She was also able to sell the vehicle for a nice amount.”

Patient and empathetic, Stewart listens and adapts to her clients’ needs. “I tell them, ‘Buying a house is not for the faint of heart. You have crushed much harder tasks. So, take my hand, and we can get through this.’”

This year, Stewart entered the luxury financing market, which enables her to serve clients seeking an elevated experience. She reports that she regularly exceeds her clients’ expectations.
