What was your first job in the realty industry? I was a real estate investor, because both of my parents were into real estate. They owned several parcels of land in the Virgin Islands, and owned many apartment buildings in St. Thomas.
Where did you grow up? In St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
What is your favorite free-time activity? I love to travel. If I could get a ticket right now to go anywhere, I would. I love the adventure, knowing the world is so much bigger than Atlanta.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I’m big on meditation, and a spa is always the best.
Growing up, what did you want to be? An attorney, but then my older sister (we’re 11 months apart) started college, and she changed her major to be an attorney, and I said, “You can have that; I’m going into business.” We fought enough as it is!
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Oprah Winfrey – why not? She is the absolute best example of a phoenix rising from the ashes.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? New York City – I love the culture and the shopping.
What do you love most about the industry? I love the fact that no two days are the same. There is always something different – a new issue, a new building, a new client.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I treat every single client as though they are my last client. I provide a guarantee of a five-star real estate experience. I provide outstanding everything, from moving assistance to negotiations; I’m a one-stop shop.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? On the rare occasion that a deal falls through, I take it personally. My goal going in is to help my clients realize their housing dream, and when that doesn’t happen, it’s like a personal setback for me. Thank goodness, then, that it’s rare.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment was obtaining my MBA from Central Michigan University. It prepared me so much for running my own business.

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone for sure.
What is your favorite city after Atlanta? Rome.
What is your advice for someone new to the industry? Definitely get with a company that is big on education, and shadow the top producers in your office. You learn so much more when you watch someone do the job, and see how they handle their clients. You can learn everything by shadowing.
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Go SMLS.
Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Anybody who is motivational. Tony Robbins is my main guy (I need a little bit of him every day before I start), but any motivational speaker keeps me on my game.
