Brittney Terrell Real estate agent

Real Estate Gurus Realty

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Top-volume retail store manager
Where did you grow up?
Macon
Growing up, what did you want to be?
A neonatologist (NICU doctor)
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I put on some of my favorite music for a mental escape. Or if I can, I go to the beach for a true escape.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Viola Davis because she has such an inspiring story of overcoming so many life adversities that I can relate to, and she’s gained so much wisdom from it all. Her perspectives are like unobstructed views as far as the eye can see with no boundaries, but at the same time filled with so much opportunity.
What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?
True Atlanta natives because they have an unmatched passion for their home.
What do you love most about the industry?
Every day is different! I love that everything revolves around people engagements. I love that each day, each experience, each encounter and each transaction have value, and you can constantly grow. The good, the bad and the ugly all have value and can only make you better!
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
By being my genuine self and being confident no matter what room I’m in or who I’m talking to. I don’t meet a stranger, and I’m always honest, which I think makes me approachable and genuine.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
At this new stage I’m in, not having a lot of capital to invest up front. I look at it as just a part of the journey and as just a starting point to track growth going forward.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Be yourself at all times. See every day, every interaction, every encounter as an opportunity, and don’t miss it. Always market yourself, whether it’s some type of merch, giving out cards, etc.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I just finished watching Narcos, and now I’m almost done with Narcos Mexico.
What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?
A new French restaurant called Little Sparrow.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?
A new construction high rise called The Dillon Buckhead. Beautiful high-end condos. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I had a customer come in reporting her cellphone missing, and she whispered to me, as her husband walked off with their child, that she desperately needed the phone to be found and returned because it had evidence that she was cheating. She was so worried that it would be exposed. The pictures and videos on that phone and would ruin her life. The customer told me EVERYTHING.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
How long I’ve been married and how old my kids are.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
St.Petersburg, Florida. I can go to the beach, and my grandma lives there. That’s home for me!
What is your favorite city after Atlanta?
St. Petersburg
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Do your homework, and do what’s best for you!
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?
Supra eKey. It’s so convenient and cool!
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
A combination of inspirational pages and funny pages. I need a good balance.
