Dawn Brown is the regional manager for RE/MAX of Georgia.

Atlanta Agent (AA): What are some of your goals with the RE/MAX of Georgia YPN?

Dawn Brown (DB): With this initiative, we are hoping to provide vibrant, connected professionals an opportunity to network in fun social environments. We want to shatter the stereotypical archetypes so often associated with this career. The goal for this group is to enhance the vitality of the RE/MAX brand locally by creating a strong culture of young professionals who embrace the values of excellence, integrity, and growth.

AA: Why is it important that new agents engage in such communities?

DB: New agents need to know they are welcome in this industry and feel they belong. Our events are designed to build a sense of belonging, as well as being part of something positive that gives back to the local community. We create an engaging environment of goodwill and meaningful conversation, allowing agents to move beyond social media personas to in-person relationships and activities. Young associates can freely share ideas and information with other like-minded young professionals.

AA: Finally, do you have any exciting things planned for the YPN? How would you like to see it develop?

DB: With the intent to both retain and recruit young real estate professionals, we hope to incorporate some adventure and charity into future events as our YPN grows in the coming years. The associates involved will guide our direction. The events will continue to be fun, high energy festivities where any proceeds go directly to help local charities. I heard “kayaking for a cause” mentioned most recently!
