Donna Augello started her real estate career with Harry Norman Realtors as an independent real estate agent in 2005. Six years later, she formed her own team, The Donna Augello Team. Augello and her team work within the North Fulton, East Cobb and South Forsyth markets, splitting their time between buyers, sellers and relocation clients.
Within the past year alone, Augello’s team has closed 63 transactions and is on target to close around 70, totaling about $28 million. This record year is thanks in large part to team members Brandi Nickerson and Holly Friend, who are instrumental in the team’s overall success and live every day by the team’s slogan, “Why Hire a Single Agent When You Can Hire an Entire Team.”
Before transitioning into real estate, Augello was in the beauty industry for 17 years and then purchased, owned and operated a thriving salon from 1995-1999. The experience gave her the confidence that she needs, especially when it comes to negotiating. But although she knows how to close a deal, her first priority is making clients feel heard. “I am a people person, and in this industry you must be able to listen and process what your client is telling you, or better yet what they are asking you,” she says.
Augello is a reliable source of real estate support, adding that being an Atlanta native gives her a leg up with networking and allows her to connect buyers with specific communities. She also understands the importance of being on the cutting edge of technology, ensuring that her clients’ properties are the most visible homes on the internet. Plus, she uses HGTV as a constant source of inspiration for staging. “I love working with sellers to stage their homes,” she says. “I often shop for staging items and have a storage room filled with staging items that we can pull from at any given moment.”
Augello is a 2016 Phoenix Award recipient as well as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and a Certified Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource. In total, her team has a combined 27 years of experience. Their clients frequently acknowledge their clear commitment, compassion and trustworthiness — qualities that have helped them to build a successful business based primarily on referrals.
