Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
Shelley Roberts has been a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage since 2000 and remains as enthusiastic as ever about serving her clients. Specializing in the Metro Atlanta and Marietta markets, Roberts works with sellers, buyers, investors, repeat clients and corporate relocations, giving every client her undivided focus.
“My responsiveness is my standout skill,” says Roberts, noting that she is easily accessible through the duration of a transaction, and works quickly and effectively to deliver results in a timely manner. “I don’t put tasks off, but rather go ahead and get things done so that there aren’t any last minute hiccups.”
Before becoming a Realtor, Roberts, along with her late husband, was the co-owner of a general contracting company, building residential and commercial properties. “I was responsible for the behind the scenes duties including payroll, bookkeeping, scheduling sub contractors and meeting tradesmen,” she explains. “Pretty much everything besides actually hammering a nail.”
That experience gave Roberts an edge as she transitioned into real estate – and as a Certified Residential Specialist, Global Luxury Specialist, Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Certified Relocation Specialist, there’s little she can’t do. In January 2016, after over two years of meeting with owners, answering questions, and negotiating contracts, Roberts completed an assemblage involving 28 units. “That was an amazing accomplishment and really boosted my business,” she says, noting that every unit required its own transaction.
During the same year, she also put her home on the market. “That might not sound like much of an accomplishment,” she says. “But when you build a house, live there for more than 22 years, and raise your family there, it’s tough.”
Roberts is a member of the Atlanta Realtors Association and a recipient of its 2013 Crystal Phoenix Award. She is also a member of the National Association of Realtors.
In her spare time, Roberts enjoys reading, walking her mini dachshund and spending time with her grandson.
