A new build-to-rent townhome community has started welcoming its first residents in Cartersville. 

Jim Chapman Construction Group broke ground on the Bartow County development, called The Cottages at Walker Ridge, in September 2021. Leasing began in July, and full build out of all 207 homes is expected by April. 

The residences come in five floor plans ranging from 1,020 to 1,466 square feet. Unit features include luxury-vinyl tile flooring on the main level, granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, washer-dryers and one- or two-car garages. The gated community offers a clubhouse, swimming pool and fitness center.
