Meritage Homes recently closed on the purchase of 203 acres of land for the development of Hemingway, a 698-lot master-planned community in Cumming.  

Homes will come in four configurations: Two-story townhomes of 1,600 to 1,800 square feet, three-story townhomes of 2,000 to 2,400 square feet, single-family homes of 1,700 to 2,400 square feet and bungalows of 2,000 to 2,500 square feet. 

The land purchase is Meritage’s largest acquisition in Georgia to date. The community is located off Marsett Parkway, just east of Georgia 400, and is projected to open for sale in late 2024. 

Amenities will include green spaces, a clubhouse, swimming pool, playground and pickleball and tennis courts.
