Toro Development Company broke ground on Medley, the $560 million, 43-acre mixed-use development set to rise on the site of the former State Farm Insurance office campus in Johns Creek. A grand opening is slated for Oct. 29, 2026.

Located at the corner of McGinnis Ferry Road and Johns Creek Parkway, Medley is a major component of Johns Creek’s 192-acre town center, which will be anchored by City Hall and encompass a variety of housing, restaurants, retail and offices, all woven together by new public parks and pathways.

“A Johns Creek town center was once considered little more than a dream,” Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry said in a press release. “With [the new Boston Scientific manufacturing facility] almost complete, Creekside Park construction in full swing and now the official launch of Medley as the premium mixed-use linchpin, our town center is quickly becoming a reality.”

Medley will encompass 750 apartments, 133 townhomes built by Empire Communities, 150,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, a 175-key boutique hotel, 110,000 square feet of lifestyle office space and a 25,000-square-foot plaza, which will host a variety of events throughout the year.

Toro has already razed the former 350,000-square-foot State Farm campus and signed up more than 25 retail tenants. In November, it secured a major financing package, which includes an equity investment from Ascentris, a Denver-based real estate private equity firm, and a $158 million construction loan from Banco Inbursa.

“When we first set our sights on this dead, suburban office park, we saw an opportunity to create something truly special: a ‘Third Place’ where people can come together and experience life outside of home and work,” Toro Chief Vision Officer Mark Toro said.
