Chuck Walden excels at finding solutions under pressure. “The mortgage business provides challenges daily and is constantly changing,” explains the senior loan officer with Silverton Mortgage. As leader of the newly-formed Chuck Walden Mortgage Team, Walden and his five-member team work with buyers seeking mortgages of all sizes for properties within Metro Atlanta.

Before entering the real estate industry 14 years ago, Walden was a member of the Air Force for seven years. “During my time serving my country, I served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, along with Operation Just Cause and Operation Sea Signal,” he says. “One of the things I loved about the military was that every day was different and presented a new challenge.” Because of his military service, Walden has a passion for helping veterans purchase homes using their VA benefits. “It’s a small way in which I can give back,” he says.

Walden’s ability to think on his feet and anticipate problems is fundamental to his success as a loan officer, as are his communication skills and the ease with which he educates his clients and keeps them informed through the process.

Every year since joining Silverton Mortgage, Walden has earned a spot in the Silverton Mortgage Presidents Club. For the last two years, he’s been recognized for being a top lender by the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia, earning the Gold Award in 2015 and the Platinum Award in 2016. He’s also a member of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals. “My driving force is my family,” he says when asked about the reason for his success. “They have stood beside me since day one and will continue to as my business grows.”
