New CRS Leaders Elected at NAR Conference in Anaheim, CA

The annual conference and exposition held by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in Anaheim, California, included an inaugural dinner and awards ceremony for new inductees in the Council of Residential Specialists’ (CRS) 2012 leadership team, on November 12. Mark Minchew, Mary McCall and Ron Canning were made president, president-elect, and first vice president, respectively.

President Mark Minchew has served on all levels on the council’s organization, including several committees, and on the board of directors. He had previously been the first president of CRS’ Lone Star chapter, and later served as a regional vice president. Minchew has received both the CRS presidents award, the medallion award, and is broker/owner of two RE/MAX businesses in Austin, Texas.

President-elect Mary McCall has been a Realtor since 1988; having served as president of the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors and the Florida CRS chapter, and has worked on many committees including NAR’ board of directors. McCall has served two terms as a CRS regional vice president, she is a CRS medallion award winner, and is a broker associate with RE/MAX ACR Elite Group in Tampa, Florida.

First Vice President Ron Canning has served on the council in multiple capacities throughout the years. He served as president of the Ohio CRS chapter twice and spent six years as a regional vice president. Canning is also a medallion winner, and has taught real estate pre-licensing classes for the past 30 years. He is a broker/associate for Comey & Shepherd Realtors in Cincinnati, Ohio.
