Georgia Realtors Announce 2014 Award Recipients

Current president of the Georgia Realtors, Linda Carol Porterfield, has announced the 2014 GAR Awards recipients that achieved outstanding service in the industry.

Founder of the Real Estate Agents in Need, a program to help fellow realtors that have suffered a catastrophic illness, death of immediate family or other loss and have exhausted all other sources of aid, Betty B. Jones of Braselton received the Good Neighbor Award for her extraordinary community service efforts. Jones also received a plaque of recognition and a $1,000 donation from GAR to her RAIN program.

Jana Waycaster of Braselton received the President’s Award, an award given to the individual whom the outgoing president feels provided the most guidance and/or support during his or her term as GAR president.

Rett Harmon of Carrolton received the Dick McCrudden award, which recognizes his efforts in ensuring the success of the REALTORS Political Action Committee in a given year.

Jenea Kennedy of Conyers received the YPN Young Achiever award for best representing and participation in the REALTOR association, community volunteering and business accomplishments.
