New Design Center Manager Joins Windsong Properties

by Jeff Lobb

Windsong Properties, an Atlanta-based builder specializing in active adult homes, has hired Amy Ackerstein as its new design center manager.

Ackerstein, a Syracuse University graduate, has 20 years of experience in the home building industry and has received several management awards for excellence. Prior to working at Windsong, she worked at Armstrong World Industries and as the design center manager for Ryland Homes, where she helped customers, mentored employees, managed the budget, created marketing tools, and trained other design center managers on new selection software.

“Amy impressed us with her credentials and passion for design,” said Carrie Roeger, operations manager for Windsong Properties. “We know our home buyers will thoroughly enjoy working with her at the design center. She will make the selection process smooth and fun.”

At Windsong, Ackerstein will be responsible for providing expert design advice to customers, working with vendors and showcasing the center’s gallery of photos.

“I’m excited about working with Windsong buyers,” said Ackerstein. “I hope to make their experience enjoyable and can’t wait to see their new homes really accentuate their personal styles.”

In addition to her love for design, Ackerstein is also passionate about sports. She was a Big East Athlete of the Decade nominee and was inducted into the Jewish Community Center Sports Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ohio and the Bexley High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

For more information about the design center, call Amy Ackerstein at 770-516-3409 (x 110) or visit www.windsonglife.com.
