Social media has certainly become a focal point in our lives, but who thought you could successfully sell a house on Twitter? Rich Burghgraef, an account executive with Randolph Sterling, created a Twitter account, Bob the House, to find the three-bedroom ranch in the Chicago suburb of Mount Prospect a new “forever family,” and it worked. Did Someone Say Police?

Realtors may consider an open house that draws in 100 people within 45 minutes fantastic, but police across the country seem to disagree. Open houses that draw in large crowds in some markets, such as Belmont, a suburb of Boston, have been shut down by police after complaints of blocked streets from neighbors. Potential homebuyers in the Phoenix area have even gone as far as camping outside a new community for a number of days. It sounds like the housing market is in desperate need of more inventory. A Horror-ific Listing

The “American Horror Story” house in L.A.’s Arlington Heights, which was once listed for $17 million, recently sold for $3.2 million.
